Navratri means nine nights. During these nine days, devotees seek blessings and pray the nine forms of goddess durga . The devotees during these nine days avoid many things like non veg, egg, garlic, onion and alcohol. At the end of the navratri means on the 9th day the devotees offer prasad (offering) to goddess durga which mainly contains puri, halwa and the chana. So, this navratri in the kitchen of foodame we thought of giving a small twist in the prasad. We added some dishes in the navratri platter and made it more attractive.
IN THE PLATTER
In the picture above you saw the army of dishes, which is looking super delicious. All the dishes of navratri are made without using garlic and onion.The reason for prohibiting the use of onion and garlic is that,these ingredients increase our body heat which may distract your mental focus.
